La nostra sorte.jpg

La nostra sorte (Italy) by Michele Sammarco

Trailer

Synopsis: Michele and Maria spent eighty years as peasants. Today the harvest time takes a distant past with it. Their sons have their own life and there is no one to take care of the fields as the couple would like to. Times are changing too, and it does not help them. Running time: 00:20:00.

Limbo.jpg

Limbo (USA) by Alex Ramsey

Trailer

Synopsis: Edward, now 28, hasn't seen his family since he crossed the US-Mexico border on foot 10 years ago. Trapped in the US by a maddening waiting game for citizenship, he grapples with the idea of leaving the life he built in New York behind forever in exchange for a long overdue homecoming. Will Edward reunite with his family or continue on in his self-imposed purgatory? Running time: 00:07:16.

MATKA _ POLKA.jpg

Matka / Polka (Poland) by Joanna Suchomska

Trailer

Synopsis: A meditation on what it means to be a woman in today’s Polish society. As a collection of stories – all verbatim – from waiting rooms, gynaecology chairs, abortion clinics, and bedrooms, the documentary bears witness to everyday acts of patriarchy and systemic violence. Adopting a poetic visual language, MATKA / POLKA breaks the taboo around the experiences, emotions and identity of Polish women who have faced the country's strict reproductive policy and social prejudices to make decisions about their own life and body. Running time: 00:14:45.

The path of a memory.jpg

The Path of a Memory (Belgium) by Katerina Indesteege

Synopsis: Growling mountains, trees full of fruits, giggles, whispers and tears. The past is still present in the mind of the daydreamer. Documentary meets fiction when the filmmaker fantasizes about her mother's memories. How could her life have looked like in a country far from here, in times of a dictatorship? Running time: 0:11:52.

Synopsis: Jaime, a 33 years old man, has been in a mental institution for almost half of his life. Through a series of conversations, Jaime shares his world view, his fears, feats and a secret. Running time: 00:37:00.
